Mindfulness and Mindful Meditation IN RED BUD, ILLINOIS

Discover the freedom to enjoy your life fully in the moment

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is being fully present in this moment, as it is without judgment or trying to change it.

You can think of mindfulness as being aware of your present experience within yourself (thoughts, feelings, body sensations) or outside of yourself (what you are physically doing, what you see, hear, smell, taste etc.).

Mindfulness allows us to notice our thoughts and feelings without getting caught up in them.

Meditation allows us to train ourselves to be in this moment to moment awareness so we can be present in our everyday life.

Happiness is not a future goal – it’s a willingness to be present and allow yourself to experience joy in the moment.

Mindfulness and Mindful Meditation can help you:

  • be connected (rather than attached) to your feelings and thoughts

  • discover peace, ease and contentment in the moment

  • decrease anxiety

  • manage stress

  • increase your ability to respond to difficult situations/thoughts/feelings

  • improve your relationships

  • decrease depression

  • help prevent future episodes of depression

Mindfulness is a way of living that allows us to be present in our lives and therefore choose how we respond to what is happening in the moment versus react.

Instead of feeling trapped in your mood, imagine being able to manage unhelpful patterns of thoughts, emotions and behavior, increase connection within yourself and others, and feel a sense of freedom to create a life you truly love.

Studies have shown that mindfulness can change the shape of one’s brain and in essence rewire some of the neural pathways in the brain. How awesome is that?!?!

If you are interested in managing anxiety, stress, and depressive symptoms, mindfulness is a strategy we will incorporate into your sessions.

Growth is accepting ourselves and welcoming change.

Flowers can grow in the most harrowing of circumstances...cracks in the sidewalk, among desert sand and flooded plains. Our minds, hearts, and souls are like those flowers, able to grow and flourish even in harsh conditions.

Growing Mindful is built on this concept of acceptance and growth – meeting you as you are and nurturing your power to grow, flourish, and thrive.
